Simon, who specialises in the oil and gas sector, brings over 20 years of international sales experience to Intelligence Fusion.
He’ll be responsible for driving revenue and acquiring new business to build on Intelligence Fusion’s ever-increasing client list.

We pinched a little bit of Simon’s time this week to ask him a few questions about why he took on the challenge and what he got up to before joining the team…
What’s your role at Intelligence Fusion?
I’m the Head of Sales for Intelligence Fusion. My role is to help grow the business and work with Senior Management to develop the sales plan, setting and then delivering against the KPI’s for the business.
What first attracted you to Intelligence Fusion?
I have worked in the oil industry for the past 23 years, both on the data side as a broker trading crude oil swaps and so I’ve always been interested in information that moves the market and helps us understand it better.
I was drawn to IF when I was looking at alternative ways to try to predict future trends in oil prices.
The information Intelligence Fusion provides give individuals and companies an edge in uncertain markets. The information also assists them in protecting their people, assets and reputation.

What were you doing before this role?
Before joining Intelligence Fusion, I worked for Wood Mackenzie for 12 years holding a number of senior roles. I joined the business as Global Head of Downstream Sales. Together with the downstream team, we grew what was a small regional product into a global set of products and services with a global client list.
Wood Mackenzie then restructured into a regional business and I was tasked with developing and running the New Client Development team in Europe before lastly taking on the role of Global Head of Sales for it’s chemical business, which we managed to grow by 23% in 2018.
Before that however, I worked for GFI in London and Singapore where I spent two years involved in broking crude oil swaps and derivatives.
In your opinion, what sets Intelligence Fusion apart from other providers?
